Intunex is a Finnish technology company founded by Janne Ruohisto in 2008 with a mission to help people work smarter together.
Janne surrounded himself with skilled team, experienced business mentors and visionary HR professionals. With help of this "swarm of experts" Intunex started developing a completely new way to share, connect and develop expertise inside organizations. The way of working was called swarm work and the solution was named xTune. The name of the service was later changed to Skillhive.
The demo-version of the service was introduced in 2009 and first trial users and customers were acquired.
In 2010 Intunex was granted an innovation and product development fund by TEKES (the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation).
In spring 2011 the first commercial version of the service was launched and the first paying customers were acquired.
In 2012 Intunex won the most prestigious interactive learning award in Finland, eEemeli – the best collaboration application.
In 2012 Intunex also received The Best Start-Up Finalist Award at the HR Tech Europe conference – which is the most coveted award for HR tech startups in Europe.
In 2013 Intunex’s Skillhive service was named the top 10 HR technology innovation by HROToday (iTalent Competition).
In 2015 Intunex was nominated as a Finalist for the Kasvu Open competition - the largest project for sparring eager to grow companies with growth experts in Finland.
In 2017 Intunex’s team #Skillhive was selected among the 15 finalist for the #Ratkaisu100 challenge prize - the biggest innovation compitition in Finland, to solve the challenge entitled “How we can make use of everyone’s competence”.
Key people behind Intunex are CEO Janne Ruohisto, CTO Jaakko Naakka and Jere Eriksson whose responsibilities include marketing and sales.
